Describes, inter alia, the various badges Jews were forced to wear by Christians in Europe, especially in the Middle Ages (pp. 35-42), and by Muslims in the Islamic world. Many illustrations are included. Other clothing restrictions are discussed, both in terms of clothes required and of clothes (e.g. turbans) forbidden. Permitted and banned colors are also noted.
