Angela Kirby was born in Lancashire in 1932 and now lives in London. Apart from bringing up five children, she has worked as a freelance journalist and a fiction writer five books and booklets so far, on cooking, gardening and related subjects. Her poems have appeared in magazines and anthologies and have won prizes and commendation's in a number of major competition. Her first collection Mr Irresistible, published by shoestring press in 2005, was widely and enthusiastically acclaimed and became a bestseller.
