English Edition - Edizione in lingua inglese - Il volume, che ha accompagnato la mostra curata da Enrico Crispolti nel 2005 per la «Ben Brown Fine Arts Gallery» di Londra, presenta una selezione di sculture, opere su tela, inchiostri su carta e una serie di progetti su legno che evidenziano il percorso artistico di Fontana dagli anni Quaranta agli anni Sessanta. Opere inedite e opere note nel percorso che si apre con la splendida terracotta «Donna al balcone», del 1940, e che comprende i celebri concetti spaziali, dal 1955-56 al 1962, in particolare il "barocco" «Concetto Spaziale. L'Inferno» del 1956. Enrico Crispolti (Roma 1933) è professore ordinario di Storia dell'Arte Contemporanea nell'Università di Siena, ove dirige da quasi una ventina d'anni la Scuola di specializzazione in Storia dell'arte.
